Learn to Skate USA
Are you just learning how to get up on two blades? Then this is the group for you! Learn to Skate USA offers small group lessons for beginner skaters as they work their way through Basic Skills. Whether you're an aspiring figure skater, hockey player, or just wanting something to get you through the winter... Learn to Skate USA is the place to start!
Club
Figure skaters interested in going a step further should consider joining Club. You are responsible for securing your own coach for Club lessons. In addition, Club skaters have a variety of group lessons available to them, including Moves in the Field and Power. Club is the next step for figure skaters wishing to compete and advance in the sport.
High School Team
High School Team is a wonderful opportunity for skaters to compete at the high school level. This group is coached and travels to various competitions throughout the season. Designated as a "Club" sport, you must be an area high school student to participate. This is just one more way for our older skaters to compete and advance their skills.
ABOUT US
The EAFSC was founded by a group of local skaters, and soon after became a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). EAFSC makes available contract ice, typically from October through March, at the Hannahville Ice and Turf Complex. EAFSC is a non profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the promotion of recreational and competitive figure skating.
We have many opportunities for young people to enjoy the sport of figure skating. New skaters can enjoy group lessons through our Learn-to-Skate USA program. Skaters who are ready for a greater commitment can join Club, which offers private lessons with a coach of your choosing. EAFSC provides testing and competition opportunities, as well as a chance to showcase skills through our Holiday Exhibition and spring Ice Show. We strive to offer a variety of skating opportunities for all skating levels. Our primary objective is the promotion of figure skating in the Escanaba Area, and to HAVE FUN SKATING!
