As a member of the EAFSC and the USFSA, you are eligible to test or compete at USFSA-sponsored test sessions and skating competitions. Various events are offered at competitions such as: Free Skate, Compulsory / Short Program, Artistic, Artistic Recall, Spins, Jumps, and Solo Dances. Some competitions also offer events for Basic Skills skaters from Basic 1-8 in Compulsory and Free Skate. Skaters are placed into groups of no more than eight skaters each and are grouped by level and age. Medals, ribbons, and/or trophies are awarded to top competitors. A professional photographer and videographer are generally available, as well as locker room facilities, a concession, and skating apparel and equipment vendor sales.
Two competitive tracks are available to skaters: The Newer Competitive Test Track and the Well-Balanced Free Skate Track. The Competitive Test Track aligns testing requirements with competition levels. More information about the Competitive Test Track can be found on USFSA website.
Competition applications must be signed by and authorized Club Officer (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary) and coach, then mailed or registered online by the specified date on the application form. Forgery of a competition application form may result in suspension from competing.
